Funny comments from Drew and Kate and Sweet Comment from Ben

On the way home from church today, Drew noticed that someone had a sprinkler going.  He said, "Hey - Why is someone washing their grass?"

On our first day of studying Astronomy, we were looking on my phone to see where the stars and planets were in relation to where we were.  When I pointed the phone toward Kate's head, we could see Uranus on the sky map.  Kate said, "My head's Uranus!  I never thought my head would be Uranus!"

On the way home from a homeschool swimming party tonight, Kate and Drew were thanking us for taking them and telling us they loved us.  Ben said, "I love you too Mommy!"  That's the longest understandable sentence he's uttered so far.

Drew's Special Date

With Tony and Addie.  The Cubs won.  Their favorite thing were the racing tools in the outfield.

This might be my new favorite picture.

And yes, between Drew, Ben, and the backpack, I am just randomly standing around with an extra 70 pounds of squirminess on me.

Drew's first cartwheel and the letter R

Tonight, Drew had his first fully successful cartwheel with full rotation and sticking the landing.  It was quite an unexpected sight.

Also somewhat randomly, he said car with the correct R pronunciation yesterday which was unexpected, unworked on, and caught us by surprise.  Here's hoping it's much easier for him to get his Rs correct than it was for Kate.

We're in a tent

Right this very minute, with photographic evidence coming soon hopefully.  Camping in the backyard which has involved hot dogs, a nature walk through the trail in our 'hood, marshmallows, me telling what is probably my scariest story (the wolf), me telling what is probably the funniest story (my cavalcade of accidental destruction at the in-laws), some book reading, and what will be bedtime for Kate and Drew in a few minutes.

Wow, it's a warm one.

A couple of things

Drew can now do a true bridge with his head off the ground.  He also read his longest book ever.  30 pages of Cat in the Hat awesomeness.
